The European parliament for family broadband
Report from our correspondent for the European parliament to realize the territory by 2013 all families can access broadband, and accept the broadband use technical training, to fully enjoy the “digital society”. The European parliament passed a resolution on May 5th, 50% of the European Union family should by 2015, and connected to a super-fast Internet by 2020 realize all family network access ultra-high speed.
European citizens, especially the elderly, the disabled and low-income populations, etc, should obtain corresponding training in order to maximize the benefit from the Internet.
The resolution says, ICT training and learning – electronic learning (e) should become an indispensable part of lifelong learning, and shall provide better and easier to achieve the education and training programs. The European Union called on the European commission for an ambitious digital agenda and action plan put forward proposals, thus leading European toward an open, prosperous society of digital information.
The European Union needs a clear legal framework to ensure “in the powers of power and the general public knowledge and content of the right balance between use.” At the same time, the digital security is also regarded as a top concern.
