Motorola spin-off plan or auction the remaining variables in the wireless business
Motorola today announced the company will split into the first quarter of next year, two independent public companies. Motorola wants to use the break to restructure the company’s business.
In accordance with the announced spin-off company’s plans, Motorola agreed to sell its mobile phone business and set-top box business to the Co-CEO Sanjay – Jia charge, while the other one contact CEO is responsible for enterprise mobile and network services.

As the company’s various businesses without too many associations, including the billionaire Carl – investors, including Icahn has been pushing Motorola’s split. Media speculation that more changes are still under discussion, the company may eventually auction off to the wireless network equipment business.
In the Droid smart phone market, Motorola’s handset business there have been some improvement, but the company’s other business performance continues to decline. Poor market conditions led to individual consumers and government procurement have reduced spending, which became a major reason for the company stagnant.
Motorola shares after-hours trading Thursday in U.S. stocks rose 4.2 percent, to 6.93 U.S. dollars per share.
